Lauren Siemonsma is the designer and creator behind Ochre Jewellery.

Transitioning from an Interior Design degree, where she immersed herself in studios in both ceramics and silversmithing. Now surrendering to her true passion in the art of ceramic sculpture and jewellery, she works to collaborate both mediums while taking inspiration from the nature around her.

Ochre’s jewellery is crafted in Melbourne from Australian stoneware clay. Containing an element of paper in the clay makeup, allowing pieces to be both lighter in weight and stronger in body. Glazed for unique colouration, always slightly changing due to application and firing temperature. All recycled sterling silver and brass findings are delicately hand sculpted to the ceramic piece it hangs.

Ochre asks you to appreciate the subtle and unique details in its jewellery.

Ochre’s ethos is to craft jewellery that honours our beautiful planet, without causing it any further harm. The recycled sterling silver and brass used in Ochre’s jewellery is sourced within Australia, as is all the clay. The kiln used for firing all its earthy creations runs on power from the sun (which also powers Ochre’s studio!) And Ochre has a 100% NO single use plastic policy!!!
